Set in a near-future where civilization has collapsed and the world has turned into a wasteland, people survive by making use of relics from the past. The story follows a boy named Gear, who works at a junk shop and partners with Shirokuma, a gambling addict, and Qu-0213, a robot with four distinct personalities. Together, they run a “theft business” that reclaims items taken unjustly. One day, a mysterious girl named Noa—on the run from an assassin—approaches Gear with a request to retrieve a stolen item. This mission sets off a chain of events, and soon Gear and his crew find themselves pursued by an armed faction from the wasteland. Unknowingly, they may have uncovered a secret powerful enough to shake the entire world.
Sung Hoo Park (Jujutsu Kaisen, Garo -Vanishing Line-) is directing the series, which is based on an original story he spent a decade developing. The project is being produced by Park’s own studio, E&H Production, in collaboration with GAGA.
Aki Kindaichi (Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) is overseeing and writing the series scripts, while Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Goodbye, Don Glees!, Overlord, Hunter × Hunter [2011]) is handling character designs and serving as chief animation director. Renowned artist Hidetaka Tenjin, known for his work on Macross and Space Battleship Yamato, is contributing as both concept designer and mechanical designer. Shin Misawa (Initial D, Capeta) is credited as the car action director.
Japanese rapper Chanmina will perform the anime’s opening theme, “WORK HARD.”
