Korea Cartoonists Association to Hold Webtoon Forum on Cyberbullying, Mental Health
The Korea Cartoonists Association will host its second Webtoon Forum of 2026 on April 24, with a focus on cyberbullying and the mental health challenges faced by creators.

The event will be held at the Dariso Theater and aims to address rising concerns over online harassment directed at webtoon artists. Industry observers note that malicious comments, harsh criticism, and coordinated attacks across social media and platform comment sections are increasingly impacting creators and their work.
The forum will also explore mental health issues tied to long working hours, irregular schedules, and intense production demands, framing these as systemic industry problems rather than matters of individual responsibility.
In the first session, webtoon creator Super Pink—known for The Chat of Joseon Dynasty—will speak on cyberbullying and online harassment. The second session will feature Raha Lee, creator of Nurse Sheena’s Asylum Diary, who will discuss mental health among webtoon artists.
The inaugural forum, held on March 13, focused on the impact of generative AI on creative workflows, as well as related copyright and legal issues.
